Ian and Uncle Donny touring this wonderful floating museum known as Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts

This seaport is home to the now decommissioned USS Massachusetts, a battleship that fought bravely during World War II, Vietnam and Desert Storm

A 16-gun salute was fired during our visit

Ian had to assist them in raising the anchor

We also got to visit the USS Joseph Kennedy - a destroyer class ship

The Kennedy was about half the size of the Massachusetts

Right next door was the Lionfish - a submarine from World War II

This sub was home to 39 sailors when she was at sea

There was also a Russian made destroyer on hand, that was purchased by the US back in the 70's because he contained Styx technology - which related to launching missiles from the sea

Ian's headed for the main deck

This was down in the hold - notice the 40 mm shell casing to Ian's right

We took a quick tour of the PT boats that served in the South Pacific. These boats housed anywhere from 9 to 15 men, normally used for patrolling islands and supporting larger warships

It's anchors away from Ian and Uncle Donny, as we head back to the Cape
